The only way to get from Venice to Murano, Burano, or Torcello is by boat or ferry. Or, climb aboard one of the Vaporetto water buses that run consistently between the islands.
July and August are the hottest months, so can be avoided if that’s not your vibe. The winter months of November and December are a good off-season option, but there’s a greater likelihood of ‘high water’ or acqua alta.
